Quick and easy homemade guacamole recipe coming your way! Confession: I only recently started enjoying guacamole, or avocados for that matter. I’ve really been trying to love them but its been an acquired taste for me. Guacamole was something I was able to get behind because there’s typically chips involved. Still trying to figure out the deal with avocado toast though. Since avocados are the “good kind of fat” I’ve been trying to sneak them in places where I won’t really notice them, like when we had BLT night last week. I didn’t want the left over avocados to go to waste so I made this super easy guacamole for a weekend snack using only five main ingredients. It went perfect with a few cocktails after a day at the pool!
Ingredients
- 2 avocados
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup diced tomato
- 1 clove garlic
- salt and pepper
preparations
In a medium mixing bowl, pit and scrape out the center of the avocados. Add in lime juice and mash with a fork to reach your desired consistency. Mix in remaining ingredients; chopped onions, diced tomatoes, garlic, salt and pepper to taste. Stir and serve in the shell of an avocado for your own personal guacamole bowl!
I still love this dip bowl! I also used it here for my kale salsa.
Enjoy!
