Erick and I are quickly learning how exhausting (and time consuming!) house hunting can be. So we were both happy to take the past Sunday off so he could watch football and I could spend some time sprucing up our back porch for autumn. After living in an apartment for four years I’ve been eager to take advantage of the space we’re in now to really decorate for the holidays. More on our current home here.
Aside from picking up a typical fall mum and a few pumpkins, I pulled the rest of the decor from things I had around the house – inside and outside. The red rocker is on our porch year round but I swapped the colorful cushion for a cozy throw. I gathered a few lanterns and propped up my red boots for easy access as the weather cools down. Erick and I love having a drink by the fire to relax on the weekends so we have to make sure the firewood is always piled high. I really love how the porch turned out, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and watch fall roll in!
